Sarasota
Accolades
Sarasota has so much to
offer residents and tourists alike- beautiful beaches,
boating, golf, tennis, fine dining, shopping, theater and
more. Sarasota has an amazingly relaxed and private
environment that has drawn the attention of home buyers
worldwide. Our city is a hidden paradise that provides a
healthy environment, friendly residents and beautiful homes
throughout the city.
The Keys and the Mainland
Sarasota is very unique because it has several beautiful barrier
islands that border the mainland. Each island has its own
personality and offers different benefits.
Longboat Key
is known for its luxury homes, condos and beach resorts.
Longboat is beautifully manicured and offers fine-dining, golf
and world-class tennis
Siesta Key
is very relaxed, fun and has a beach that is known as one of
the top ten beaches to visit in the world. Siesta Key offers
tennis, biking, boating, dining, shopping and long, beautiful
sidewalks for runners. This barrier island has become a
playground for our athletic residents.
Casey Key
is on the southern end of Sarasota County and it provides a
more private island with luxury waterfront homes. Casey Key is
located between Blackburn Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
Manasota Key
is a very quiet barrier island far from city life. The water
views are stunning and with only a two-lane road there is
barely any traffic. If you are looking for an area where you
can have peace and quiet Manasota Key is the place to look.
St.
Armand’s
is
located on Lido Key and is very popular among
residents and tourists for its outstanding shopping and five star dining. St. Armand’s has a small
and unique residential community that has a variety of
architectural styles. St. Armand’s has a wide variety of
cultural activities available throughout the year.
Once known primarily as a vacation or retirement destination,
today's Sarasota is home to diversity. A great year-round
climate, expanding employment opportunities, abundant leisure
time activities and excellent schools attract creative
entrepreneurs, skilled workers and professionals who want to
thrive in a community where life is fun. Almost half of
Sarasota County's population is in the prime working age range
of 25 to 64. No matter what your age or stage, there's always
something interesting to do in Sarasota.
Located on
the Florida Gulf Coast, about 60 miles south of Tampa,
Sarasota combines a leisurely coastal lifestyle with a worldly
sophistication. No longer just a tourist destination and
retirement haven, Sarasota has become a diversified community
with an expanding economic base, skilled workers and
professionals, and one of the best school systems in the
state. The cultural capital of Florida, it is known for its
intoxicating cocktail of culture, from the Ringling Museum of
Art, the state museum of Florida, to its own symphony, opera
and ballet.
Sarasota
County consists of Sarasota, Venice, Englewood and North Port
and the barrier islands of Longboat Key, Lido Key, Siesta Key,
Casey Key and Manasota Key.
